Born in Singapore, Cheery is a filmmaker that graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art in 2019.

Writing has been something Cheery finds release in. It only felt natural for her to translate her short stories onto the big screen when she first came across the concept of filmmaking.

 

Really, she’s just doing this to get the stories out of her head.

 

Since then, Cheery has worked on numerous award-winning short films, as well as writing and directing short films, ranging from a gothic fairytale to a dark comedy about a socially awkward alcoholic.

 

Currently, Cheery is joining the circus in her current work-in-progress, NoctiLuca, and when she is not, she is obsessing over dogs and point-and-click adventure games.
